In case you haven't heard, the host of the most prolific podcast in history, Joe Rogan, contracted COVID. Rogan, who had to cancel some stand up-comedy shows the past few days, shared his diagnosis on his personal Instagram Account:
Now, if you were a normal person, your first reaction to this video would be something akin to "man, I'm glad this guy is feeling better."
The media is not, however, filled with normal people - so the media chose to gleefully celebrate the fact Rogan contracted COVID after previously suggesting that healthy 21-year-olds might not need the vaccine. More specifically, Rogan said "“Are you a healthy person? Like, look, don’t do anything stupid, but you should take care of yourself. You should — if you’re a healthy person, and you’re exercising all the time, and you’re young, and you’re eating well, like, I don’t think you need to worry about this".
So, of course, because Joe Rogan once said something that he apologized for later (despite not REALLY saying anything wrong) the media decided to shit on Joe Rogan with headlines like this one:
and this one.
and these.
Reading the titles of these stories, it really makes you feel like the media is relieved that fellow human being, Joe Rogan, is feeling better, right?
It's not that they're OVERTLY saying they're happy he got sick - it's the implicit tone here that he got what he deserved. Which, when talking about a potentially life-threatening illness, seems like a pretty fucked up angle to take.
But maybe that's just me.
And the media is not just mad that Rogan got COVID after showing vaccine hesitancy for young, healthy, people - it's that when he got sick - he, likely in consultation with his doctor, took ivermectin - a drug that has become as controversial in the media as hydroxychloroquine was back in 2020.
Ivermectin, according to the media, is ONLY MEANT FOR LIVESTOCK!
Thankfully, these absolute cunts are here to let us know it's DE-WORMING MEDICINE!
GET IT? HE'S DUMB! HE SHOULD SUFFER!
Now before I go any further, I need to advise nobody take ivermectin without first consulting with their doctor. The FDA has not approved ivermectin as a treatment for COVID. Do not go to a feed store and buy ivermectin for personal use! And for further disclosure, I am vaccinated (with ZERO side effects) and suggest that you get vaccinated as well - though I'm not going to hate you if you choose otherwise.
Got it? Fair enough? Good.
Back to ivermectin which, is not, actually, JUST used for de-worming livestock. In fact, two dudes won the Nobel Prize for discovering ways to use Ivermectin to cure parasitic diseases and likely save the lives of millions of HUMANS around the world. So yes, this drug is used to help animals with parasitic illnesses, but it is also used in humans.
So why would the media try and gas-light people by calling ivermectin "horse paste" or "cow de-wormer"? Because they hate anyone and anything that doesn't conform to their world view. So when Joe Rogan - a person they cannot control and who does not conform to their world view - contracts COVID and says he took a drug that Dr. Fauci doesn't explicitly endorse - people in the media feel obligated to jovially smear what has been called a "wonder drug" and tacitly reveling in the fact that a semi-vaccine-skeptic got sick with a disease that has killed over 650,000 Americans.
Can you imagine if Rogan had actually died from COVID? It might have been the first time these people had a decent orgasm since the day it was announced Trump contracted the disease.
I suspect there is a lot of crying before, during and after such moments of ecstasy.
Here is a little PSA for my media betters - If you’re openly cheering and happy about someone getting sick (and maybe dying) just because they don’t agree with your treatment preferences … maybe you’re the bad guy?
Glad to hear you're feeling better, Joe.
Happy Thursday and God Bless America.
Ivermectin is basically the sister chemistry of one of my favorite pesticides, abamectin. “Abamectin is a precursor to ivermectin. It differs from ivermectin in having a double-bond at the C22–23 position. Both drugs seem to share common mode of action, but they differ in their activity against nematode infections, abamectin being more active against nematodes than ivermectin (Shoop et al., 1995).” I spray abamectin on many fruit and vegetable crops. It’s wonderful. Anyway, here is a funny story. We bought a house on a ranch many years ago. When walking through it with the realtor and owner we saw a hyperbaric chamber. The owner told us it was because his girlfriend had been exposed to abamectin. She had been driving out…
