Jan 6, 2021 - If life has been a bit tame of late then look at ways you can liven things up. The influence of Mars in one of the more outgoing areas of your chart will encourage you to put on a show, the kind that gets talked about for years to come. You should also really start thinking about Teachers Unions. Why? Because if you live in a state with a strong Teacher Union, they control everything in the education system. Think about it, these folks spent the majority of 2020 collecting paychecks while teaching from their living rooms. E-Learning? It's a joke, you know it, I know it, THEY know it.
So why haven't they gotten off their asses and gotten back into the classrooms, when there hasn't been any evidence that kids in the classroom lead to any death or mass transmission of the virus? The answer is that America is in crisis and there is no better time to leverage dumb demands then when you are already on your knees. Take Chicago for example, whose VERY powerful teachers union's list of demands to return to the classroom included things like a three percent positivity rate before schools can re-open, a number that is not based in any science and is very much unattainable in the next several months. The union also demanded that they not be required to perform simultaneous teaching, meaning they wouldn't have to teach in the classroom while being recorded for kids watching at home. What does any of that have to do with . . . learning?
Look, nobody wants or expects teachers to die or get very ill in performing their jobs, but our experience with this virus does not suggest this is a huge risk. In fact, the bigger risk is probably going on vacation at the moment, which makes this one Chicago Teachers Union Regional VP look pretty fucking awful, considering she was vacationing in the Caribbean while arguing it was unsafe to return to her classroom. No, "return to school" has never been about making sure your kids are safe, it's always been about teachers unions are just drunk on power and doing everything they can to try and squeeze water from the stone during a time of crisis. You don't have to let them win, you CAN start making a fuss. Maybe you should? Maybe it's time to start taking back the power on how your children are educated? Maybe it's time to start saving some extra money and sending them to private school? I dunno, but you shouldn't just sit back and take this up the ass, this is your life, these are your kids, you pay for education with your tax dollars.
Just something to think about.
Namaste and God Bless America.
