Week 6 of the Flappr Fantasy Football League brought some real excitement to Monday Night. With the NFL beginning bye weeks, that means our fantasy teams will start missing their best players for a week. But, it also brings the chance for some exciting games. The league saw all its teams score over 100 points and 3 games that ended within 16 points after Monday Night Football.
In the closest game of the weekend, M.I.L.F (Man I Love Football) (@ElderBartleby) edged Bad Mans (@snakebro7). While our commissioner was suffering through a Twitter time out, he had to watch while Buffalo’s defense couldn’t get him 4 points on MNF. Bartleby is going to get the Flappr Forgotten Man award for trying to make Allen Robinson happen and leaving Marvin Jones Jr. on the bench.
Leroy did, however, find a silver lining in the loss.
The next closest game was Stephanie’s Amazing Team (@Stephanieco15) beating the Hackensack Cockles (@Travis_Tyree). Going into Monday night, all Stephanie needed was one point from A.J. Brown to win. Except A.J. Brown had food poisoning over the weekend and was questionable to play, scoring no points in the 1st half. But, he powered through it, and had an explosive 2nd half. The win for Stephanie was her first since week one and she celebrated it in style:
The last of games that needed MNF to decide the outcome was Derrick Henry’s White Twin (@jonbrooks935) against the Penalty Boxers (@ground_miller). It looked like it might be a comfortable win for the Penalty Boxers, but Derrick Henry and Josh Allen had other ideas. The pair scored 65 points Monday night, just falling short in the end.
The other two games on the schedule ended up having the four highest scores of the weekend involved. Unfortunately, that means some painful losses for two of those guys. In one of those games, the Master Bedroom Dwellers (@Twi77erSuxDong) beat Two Scoops (@_Miller__Lite_) behind his trio of LA Rams. At least Miller Lite is always looking on the bright side of things.
Finally, we had the Italian Defense League (@michcusejac5) defeat the Fugly Slots (@balling_it). The Italians got a great performance this week and won the Flappr Top Hat award for scoring 181 points. He could also have won the Flappr Forgotten Man award for the second week in a row, because he continues to leave Antonio Brown on the bench.
Unfortunately, Fugly Slots still can’t catch a break.
Here’s a look at the standings after Week 6. See you next week!
