WATCH: Psaki Says Biden Admin to Implement "Door to Door Outreach" for Vaccine Push

So, I didn't really have any interest in writing about anything today. It's BASICALLY a Monday for me, I'm tired, don't feel great, would rather be sleeping instead of working and we already posted something on guns or whatever, so I was hoping I'd get a pass.

But no, Jen Psaki had to go out and drop this little nugget at her daily presser:

I've transcribed the pertinent part for your convenience: "{T] argeted community by community, door to door outreach, to get remaining Americans vaccinated by ensuring they have the information they need on how both safe and accessible the vaccine is."

Hmph. That raises some questions for me, namely:

1) Is this an admission that there is a government database of those who are and are not vaccinated? (this undoubtedly exists, but I wasn't aware that it has ever been publicly discussed).

2) Will it only be people who are NOT vaccinated that will be getting a visit from a Vax ̶I̶n̶s̶p̶e̶c̶t̶o̶r̶ Encourager?

3) If such visits are ONLY for those who remain unvaccinated, is a visit tantamount to public shaming (i.e., if those in your community see the Vax ̶I̶n̶s̶p̶e̶c̶t̶o̶r̶ Encourager visit your house, they know you're unvaccinated).

If this is targeted only to those Americans who remain unvaccinated, this seems like a pretty gross invasion of privacy.

Moreover, it dawned on me what this could REALLY be about - the Biden economy's unemployment numbers. How so? Well, whenever the Census comes around, the federal government hires somewhere in the neighborhood of 500,000 temporary workers to carry out the administration of the US Census.

What better way for the Biden Administration to artificially boost the economy than to hire 500,000 people to temporary jobs as Vax ̶I̶n̶s̶p̶e̶c̶t̶o̶r̶s̶ Encouragers? They might even be able to fund this operation with money from the 1.9 trillion dollar Covid Stimulus package signed back in March (given that untold amounts from that bill remain unspent).

If I'm correct, this is a pretty brilliant way for Biden to address multiple issues at the same time. First he gets to tout his COVID remediation efforts (something Americans seem pleased with) and he gets to more people back into the workforce which will help lower unemployment and inject money into the economy.

To be clear, this isn't me endorsing this tactic - quite to the contrary, I believe it's wasting taxpayer money on something wholly invasive and unnecessary (who doesn't know what they need to know about the vaccine already?). Moreover, the fact that these jobs would be temporary doesn't solve anything, it just kicks the can down the road. In fact, assuming the federal government pays Vax ̶I̶n̶s̶p̶e̶c̶t̶o̶r̶s̶ Encouragers what US Census Bureau Field Reps got paid ( $17.54 per hour on average) this will set a defacto minimum wage and will likely exacerbate problems for small businesses looking to hire people to fill open vacancies. So, no, this is NOT me giving a thumbs up to Joe Biden, this is more a recognition of what the swamp does and how - sometimes - it's pretty impressive, if not devious.

Again, this is me hypothesizing, and if I'm wrong about hiring a bunch of workers to become Vax ̶I̶n̶s̶p̶e̶c̶t̶o̶r̶s̶ Encouragers, I'll gladly accept your Alex Jones Tin Foil Hat GIFs as penance:

Happy Tuesday and God Bless America.
