Apparently, practice does not ALWAYS pay off as Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, threw an absolutely pathetic first pitch tonight during Opening Day festivities for the Washington Nationals.
Oof. I mean, quite literally one of the WORST first pitches I've ever seen. The type of pitch that would require you to turn in your "man card" if we were allowed to say such things anymore.
To his credit, Fauci turns 80 years old this year. 80 year old men don't typically do great throwing baseballs. That being said, nobody forced Dr. Fauci to get on out there and make himself look like an absolute WANKER. Moreover, according to alleged human enema, Jim Acosta, Fauci has been practicing for this moment while absent from press briefings:
On to the reactions:
In the end this does not matter, its a fun distraction and who cares if this old man can't throw a ball. I will say though, that if you're going to take the spotlight and take the rubber (well, 6 feet in front of the rubber), I don't care how old you are - you better throw a fucking dart. No excuses, old man.
