Accoring to Variety, the online streaming platform Hulu is purchased the rights to develop an alternative history version of the life and times of Hillary Clinton:
Hulu has optioned the rights to Curtis Sittenfeld’s alternative history book “Rodham,” which takes place in a world in which Hillary Rodham never married Bill Clinton.
The series is described as telling the story of an ambitious young woman, developing her extraordinary mind in the latter part of the 20th century, moving from idealism to cynicism and all the way back again.
Should the show go to series, it would be the second project focused on Hillary Clinton that Hulu has aired. The streamer debuted the four-part docuseries “Hillary” back in March. That series chronicled her 2016 presidential campaign while also delving into events from her past that shaped her life.
That sounds great, totally normal, just what we need - I mean who doesn't need more Hillary Clinton content in their lives. This is totally NOT more insane wish-casting from middle-aged liberal women who feel betrayed by America for not electing the anointed one.
Unfortunately, not all of Twitter seemed excited for this announcement:
Hey, maybe this website will still exist when "Rodham" airs and we can do a weekly episodes reviews. That would be fun.
Until then, I wonder who would be cast to play Young Hillary, Old Hillary and Older Hillary. Whomever they choose better be in good shape - they're going to need to pull off some insane stunts - like scaling the wall of a jail, disabling security cameras, shooting two guards with tranquilizers, breaking into a jail cell and then choking the life out of a convicted child sex trafficker.
Yep - should be a doozy.
