Flappr Fantasy Football Playoffs Week 1: Bedlam Atop the Bracket

For the past 11 weeks, our league has seen one team, Deus Le Volt (FKA Master Bedroom Dwellers), dominate the league, winning every game in that stretch. His closest game during that stretch was a 16.24 point win during a bye week for several of his best players. The only team he did not beat during that stretch was Commissioner Leroy Brown's Bad Mans squad. And those two teams came into the playoffs the top 2 seeds as the division winners, setting up an expected showdown in the championship game. Unfortunately, the Wuhan Flu and injuries had something else in mind, leaving us all wondering what would happen.

In one of the better games we have had all year, Deus Le Volt (@Twi77erSuxDong) took on the 4th seeded Derrick Henry's White Twin (@jonbrooks935).

Jon only had 4 of his original draft picks on the team, but they accounted for half his points. The game came down to Monday Night Football, with Deus needing 24 points from Alvin Kamara, which is completely possible. Unless the Saints have to start their 4th string QB due to COVID and their offense is in shambles. To add insult to injury for Deus, he gets the Flappr Forgotten Man award for leaving Chase Edmonds' 26.7 points on the bench, which would have won the game. Having drafted Chase Edmonds, you could never count on him when you needed him. Who wouldn't be a little angry after that?

In the other semi-final, Leroy's Bad Mans (@Jenwifeofboomer) took on Two Scoops (@_Miller__Lite_X). COVID and injuries decimated Leroy's team, which was missing several starters, and had 2 players leave games early with injuries. Miller Lite had some bad performances as well, but had 3 players score 24 or more points, which would have beaten Bad Mans by themselves.

But Two Scoops moves onto the championship game to take on Derrick Henry's White Twin.

Yahoo also had a Consolation Bracket for the 5th through 8th Place teams. In game 1, the Penalty Boxers (@ground_miller) played the Italian Defense League (@michcusejac5). In all fairness, I don't think JAC even bothered to set a lineup, but my team scored 156.90 points, which would give me the Flappr Top Hat for the week. Game featured M.I.L.F. (Man I Love Football) (@ElderBartleby) played the Hackensack Cockles (@Travis_Tyree). It was a fairly close game, with Bart winning 129.08 to 112.38. This sets up a game between M.I.L.F. and the Penalty Boxers next week.

So, here's the schedule for the Championship Weekend in the Flappr FFL:
